Cambodia Gambling Dens
There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall betting is prohibited. Eight casinos are situated in a generally small space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling halls is in a prime destination, a 3 to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few limitations requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and although visas are allegedly needed to cross, there are methods around this, as is real of many borders.
The 1st Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked barge casino, features 150 one armed bandits and 60 table games. The Naga river boat never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of blackjack, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are 150 slot machines and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains 300 one armed bandits and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive resort and hotel compound that features a number of comforts accompanying the casino, which houses ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 slots and eighty eight tables.
